Bring it on !!!!!!

I love winter storms - I love the feeling in the air - I love the anticipation - I love how everyone runs around like crazy to stock up on food - I love being curled up on the couch in a warm house while the frigid winds blow outside. Cold weather makes the holidays seem more "holiday-ish". I'm so ready to put up the Christmas tree and hang the mistletoe. All I need now is a fireplace - and some hot chocolate !!!!!

A Lesson Learned

One of the many realizations I have had since I've been unemployed is that idle time does not = productivity. In fact, it's just the opposite. I always had this romanticized notion that if I didn't work, I would have so much free time to do all those other things that I wanted to do. The past 6 months have proven me wrong. Productivity and accomplishment are more a result of motivation. The motivation and determination have to be there - you'll find the time to get things done if you really want to. And in my case, I think having too much time on my hands is counter productive. I tend to take my free time for granted and put things off. I got more done last week and had more focus while I was in pre-licenseing classes for 8 hours a day. At least now I know this.....reality has sent another warped perception down the drain. Thank you - now I know the grass isn't always greener.....

Lyrics were added to the theme song to one of my favorite movies, Cinema Paradiso. And Josh Groban, one of my favorite artists, just so happens to be the one to sing them. And all the words are beautiful but the last part is my favorite - translating it into English wouldn't do it justice, but it says "if you could be in my soul for just one day, you would know how I feel, and then you would fall in love with me".

Sole Mio cont.....

I still think it's strange that the original Sole Mio died on Sept 11 - so I created Sole Mio Part II.

And after a hiatus from blogging, things are pretty much where they were two months ago. And although this time off has been great for soul-searching, it seems to have heightened my inherent tendencies towards indecisiveness. Being a true Libra, this is something that I have little control over. I find it difficult to make decisions not because I'm fickle but because I see the good in most options....and don't want to give up one for the other. Unrealistic....I know. Libras tend to swing from one side to another until they find the perfect balance.....well - I guess I'm still swinging.

The weekend was one of overstimulation -

I have CA to thank for a great Friday night - Apres Diem provides a great ambience for thought-provoking conversations. And until then, I was a virgin to Southern Spaghetti - but it was GOOD ! I didn't need those carbs at 2 a.m. though.

The rest of the weekend was Italian men galore. A group of guys that play in the Delta tournament every year came this weekend....along with some new ones. I ended up in Buckhead until 5 am on Saturday night - something I haven't done since college.

I need to continue soul searching and sort out my feelings. I love this about men and this about women.I want this but I want that. Am I confused ????
